There’s a particular sense of urgency right now around capturing these stories … so young people can really see their relevance. We must utilize the power of these narratives to connect with the present-day equivalent. We can say, Tyre Nichols, who was killed here in Memphis [last year] and George Floyd aren’t that different from Emmett Till. Or Viola Liuzzo.

- Robert Jones and Matt Watroba: Ever since their first meeting, over twenty years ago, Robert Jones and Matt Watroba have been musical partners. Together, they travel the nation extolling the virtues of “Music That Matters.”
- Kathy Bullock:An educator, scholar, singer, accompanist, arranger and choral conductor who specializes in gospel music, spirituals and classical works by composers from the African diaspora, and a Professor Emerita of Music from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, Kathy Bullock is currently teaching, performing, and conducting workshops and other programs on African American music throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa.
